Billy D. Washington
Serious. Comedy.

Billy D. Washington doesn't look very funny, but he is...

His 6'2 frame, wild curly hair and trademark glasses will keep you in stitches as he passively delivers his cleverly constructed material. His style has been said to be similar to that of Mitch Hedberg and Steven Wright, but his respect for these iconic performers will never allow him to accommodate such comparison.

Former police officer, classically trained pianist and veteran stand-up comedian Billy D. Washington has been featured on the Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson, HBO's Def Comedy Jam, The Montreal Comedy Festival and for 3 years toured with the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin. His laid back delivery and abstract writing style has made him a stand-up mainstay for almost 20 years. As a writer Billy is the creator of "Finding First Lady", a nationally touring gospel stage play which features an all star cast of noted actors. Most recently Billy gained national attention having authored the controversial essay, "The Decay of the Influential Comedian". This extremely popular article was published by laughspin.com in February of 2013.

The critically acclaimed Billy D. Washington has been described as having unconventional humor, undeniable charm and extreme talent that makes his performances unique, hilariously funny and a must see.
